PMC Property Group Renovates Pittsburgh’s Historic 908 Penn Avenue

Pittsburgh, PA — In September 2012, PMC Property Group acquired 908 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. In less than 12 months, PMC converted and fully leased the long-vacant office building into 25 sleek urban apartments and 8,000 sf of active street-front office space for ISS Facility Management.

The renovations preserved the historic character of the building’s interior spaces, creating character-rich living and work space for tenants. PMC also undertook a tear down and rebuild of the building’s façade, which had, at some point in the building's history, been covered with a windowless stucco covering up to the third floor. PMC’s renovation recreated the historic column structure and fenestration, making for a dramatic improvement of the 900 block of Penn Avenue and helping to fill another piece of the overall revitalization of Pittsburgh’s downtown.
